The CAM Prayer Breakfast is designed to honor Military Chaplains and their contributions to the spiritual wellbeing of service members and their families. The breakfast will feature a prayer service from Chaplains of the Christian, Jewish and Islam faiths. A keynote address from David Robinson or Roger Staubach (TBD) will be a highlight of the Prayer Breakfast.

Please join us for the official opening of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce’s annual “Celebrate America’s Military” presented by The Boeing Company and hosted at Morgan’s Wonderland on Wednesday, October 31st from 11:30am to 1:30pm. This unique event celebrates the spirit and resiliency of those wounded in military service and of civilians who also face daunting physical challenges – but who all demonstrate the undying spirit to overcome….and succeed.
There will be a fun and exciting exhibition wheelchair basketball game involving disabled veterans from ParaSports and participants in the Morgan’s Wonderland STRAPS (South Texas Regional Adaptive and Paralympic Sports) program. Playing alongside these athletes will be representatives of the local business community and our valued CAM partnering organizations.
The event will also include guest speakers with lunch provided.

In honor of the members of San Antonio’s senior enlisted service, the San Antonio Chamber will host a reception to recognize the critical roles that SNCO’s play in the readiness, morale and success of our nation’s military. Join us at Texas’ oldest VFW Post on the San Antonio river to salute and thank our senior enlisted service members. Spouses are encouraged to attend this reception. Dress is business casual for civilians and uniform of the day for military. Event is invite only for the business community.
All Active Duty Senior Enlisted Personnel in Uniform will receive a raffle opportunity.

Join us as we celebrate veterans across all generations, honoring tradition, respect and pride – traits deeply embedded in the westside culture. This very special event highlights, honors and pays reverence to veterans from across our community and acknowledges the courage, history and legacy of their contributions and recognizes those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Please save the date and share with others. Featuring a free lunch for all veterans, a demonstration of the Battle of Alazan Creek, a Q&A with Mike Roman, and live music throughout the day, “You Are Not Forgotten” is a significant gathering of the Westside community of San Antonio, Texas. In 2016 and 2017, we welcomed more than 200 veterans in addition to family. This year, we expect more than 600 people to attend, including 400 veterans plus family, and community members.

The Spirit of America dinner is the premiere event of Celebrate Americas Military and this year features a keynote address by Chef Robert Irvine of the Robert Irvine Foundation: For Our Heroes, a not-for-profit, 501c3 organization that honors the men and women defending our country, first responders and the many other heroes in our lives. The Foundation's mission is to support individuals and organizations committed to enriching the lives of our heroes and their families. The Spirit of America Dinner is attended by over 500 military personnel from all branches of service as well as business and civic leaders from across San Antonio. The evening includes a cocktail reception, an elegant dinner and entertainment from the Air Force Band of the West.

The City of San Antonio will celebrate the 243rd US Marine Corps Birthday on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio. The price is $75 per ticket (until 1 July) and seating is limited. The Grand Hyatt has blocked rooms at a special price. To make your reservations, use this link: Marine Corps Ball Room Reservation. The U.S. Military Veterans Parade Association is proud to present the annual Veterans Parade in downtown San Antonio on Sunday, Nov. 11, during the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce's Celebrate America's Military (CAM) Week. You are invited to join us for the annual wreath-laying ceremony at the Tobin Center at 10 a.m. Representatives from each branch of the military services and special guests speak briefly then carry wreaths to the entrance of the Alamo in recognition of the nation's and Texas veterans. The parade steps off soon after at noon. Join us by lining the downtown streets and waving your American flag, showing your pride as you honor veterans past and present, who unselfishly served or serve to defend us and our freedom - one nation under God - and the freedom of others around the world.

Bexar County Buffalo Soldiers Commemorative Ceremony
Location: San Antonio National Cemetery, 517 Paso Hondo St.
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
Comprised of former slaves, freedmen and Black Civil War veterans, the historic Buffalo Soldiers persevered through the most difficult conditions imaginable to become some of the most elite and most decorated units in the U.S. Army. The annual Bexar County Buffalo Soldiers Commemorative Ceremony at the San Antonio National Cemetery honors these past heroes with a keynote speaker, the reading of a memorial list, military honors and taps, and a benediction.
